RENTAL AGREEMENT MANSA CAR RENTAL

Mansa Car Rental rents the vehicle to the customer subject to the rules and conditions outlined in this agreement.

The vehicle is owned by Mansa Car Rental. This agreement is solely intended for rental purposes. The customer shall return the vehicle to the location where it was rented, on the date and time agreed upon in the agreement, or earlier if Mansa Car Rental so decides. Mansa Car Rental may terminate this agreement and demand the return of the vehicle.

The driver must possess a valid driver’s license from their country of origin and a valid international driver’s license.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is always locked when not in use and will utilize the anti-theft (alarm) device.

Before the vehicle key is handed over to the customer, the customer must pay a deposit of €200 and the full rental amount (tax and all other charges included) to Mansa Car Rental. The €200 deposit will be refunded upon termination of this agreement, with the understanding that in case of damage to the vehicle due to collision and robbery or violation of this agreement, the customer will immediately pay the total damage amount to the vehicle, minus the deposit amount.

The vehicle may only be driven by the person named in this agreement. If there is a second driver, they must also be included in the agreement. The additional cost in this case is €10.

IF THE DRIVER IS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL, DRUGS, ANY INTOXICANTS, OR OTHER SUBSTANCES THAT MAY IMPAIR REACTION TIME.
IF THE NUMBER OF SEATS OR THE MAXIMUM LOAD OF THE VEHICLE IS EXCEEDED.
IF THE VEHICLE IS OBTAINED THROUGH FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES.
TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO OR INJURY TO A PERSON PURPOSEFULLY.
TO PUSH OR TOW AN OBJECT.

Any prohibited use of the vehicle constitutes a violation of this agreement.

Under no circumstances shall the customer hand over the vehicle key to a car washer, hotel staff, or persons not authorized to drive the vehicle on behalf of Mansa Car Rental. The customer is liable for any damage caused to the vehicle by such irresponsible behavior.

In case of an accident or robbery, the customer must immediately notify the police at number 115. The customer shall not leave the accident site without completing a police report or filling out or signing a report from Suriname Roadside Assistance. If the customer fails to notify the police of any of the events mentioned above, the customer is fully liable for all damage to the vehicle.

In case of theft or any accident, the customer shall hand over all documents relating to the accident or theft to Mansa Car Rental.

In the event of an accident where the vehicle is driven in violation of the terms of this agreement, or if the driver is under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or hallucinogenic substances, the customer is fully liable for the vehicle as a whole or damage to the vehicle.

Costs related to flat tires, fuel shortages, and lost license plates are the customer’s responsibility.

The customer shall not park the vehicle in locations where it is not allowed and shall follow the applicable traffic rules. The customer accepts responsibility for any fines imposed for violations of the applicable traffic rules in Suriname.

The customer shall pay an additional fee if the vehicle, upon return, is in a different condition than when it was handed over.

For late returns (1 to 3 hours late), a surcharge of €5 will be applied. After 3 hours late, a full day rate will be charged.

The customer shall not transfer the vehicle to a person who is not an employee of Mansa Car Rental. In case of non-compliance with this rule, the customer is liable for any damage that may occur to the vehicle due to such actions.

Mansa Car Rental is not responsible for loss or damage to property left by the customer in the car.
